The general problem with this sequel is simply that it is a sequel. The whole idea behind creating sequels in the first place is because audiences seem to want more. This is evidenced by the large heaps of cash they throw down at the ticket counter. Indeed, director Sam Raimi gives us more. In fact, he gives us too much.

How can two great films be followed by this inconsistent mess? The movie is void of any emotion and by the end we really don't care for the characters. The film is poorly structured, the dialogue is a mess, and the acting is way over the top. In the end all you can feel is disappointed.
