famed special-effects house KNB EFX is on board to handle all of the creaturefest's practical FX, with the company's Greg Nicotero also serving as the film's 2nd-unit director. This is his fourth stint assisting on a production in this capacity; Nicotero served similar duties on George A. Romero's "Land of the Dead" and fellow KNB founder Robert Kurtzman's
Wishmaster, as well as the comedy "The Nutt House". Over in the CGI realm, Café FX (PAN'S LABYRINTH, SIN CITY) has been awarded the job of bringing some of the required beasties and other assorted goodies to life; Everett Burrell is supervising.
