"The Happening is happening...for some"

The Happening reminded me of The Day after tomorrow but with more character and horror. Its nature fighting back. My feelings before going into the film were negative, coming out, I was scared out of my wits. Now I know what your thinking. But the movie wasn't scary at all it was so funny. If you think watching people kill themselves is funny you are messed up in the head. Anyways this film has one funny moment where Elliot (Walberg) is talking to a plant, I believe that scene was meant to be funny, no other way to put it. Also, I enjoyed the pace of the film and how it spent a good amount of time on its characters. But if you get bored with character stuff you might not like the film, I felt it was very character driven, like The Birds and unlike "Day After". Enjoy the movie if you go.
